Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Bored Monkey LLC (doing business as Paid to Pivot — "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit paidtopivot.com or use the Paid to Pivot course (the "Service"). We serve customers in the United States.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Email address — when you request the free Lesson 1, sign up, or log in.
- Name and payment information — when you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe; Stripe collects and stores your card details. We never see or store your full card number. We receive limited details such as your name, email, and confirmation of payment.
- Anything you email us — for example, the completed worksheets you send when requesting a refund.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and device data — pages visited, links clicked, browser type, device, and general location (from IP address), collected through analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4.
The in-course AI tools run entirely in your browser. What you type into them stays on your device and is not sent to us or to any third party.
2. How we use information
We use your information to:
- Deliver the course — create your account, send your private podcast feed, and provide the member portal.
- Send the free Lesson 1 and the related follow-up email series.
- Send transactional emails (login links, purchase confirmations) and course-related updates.
- Process payments and handle refunds.
- Understand how the site is used and improve it (analytics).
- Run and measure advertising, including on Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
- Protect the Service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing |
| Supabase | Account login and database |
| Cloudflare (R2) | Hosting the audio files |
| Resend | Sending our emails |
| DreamHost | Website hosting |
| Analytics (GA4) and web fonts | |
| Meta | Advertising pixel (ad measurement and targeting) |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
Note: using advertising and analytics cookies (Google, Meta) may be considered "sharing" your information for targeted advertising under California law. See Section 7 for how to opt out.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use:
- Essential cookies — required to log you in and keep the site working.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics (GA4), to understand site usage.
- Advertising cookies/pixels — the Meta Pixel and Google tags, to measure and target ads.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and through a consent/opt-out tool on our site. You can also opt out of analytics via Google's opt-out browser add-on, and adjust ad personalization in your Google and Meta account settings.
5. Email and marketing
When you request Lesson 1, you're added to a short email series about the course. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. We may still send you transactional emails (like login links or purchase confirmations) that are necessary to provide the Service.
6. Data retention and security
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
7. Your privacy rights (including California)
You may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you also have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (the ad/analytics cookies described above). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@paidtopivot.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
8. Children
The Service is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes apply going forward.
